Pine Needles Embossing Folder Stamping

On a whim I bought the Pine Needles embossing folder

by Richard Garay...and I actually used it. Sometimes I buy things and they sit forever!

This is embossing folder stamping technique I used:  Dabbed the twisted citron distress inkpad directly onto the raised side of the embossing folder, spritzed with water, added paper, closed the embossing folder and pressed it down with my hands. 

The ink was transferred to the paper in a distressed look.  

I did NOT run it through my Cuttlebug. 

Since I was in a hurry, I used my heat tool to dry it, but you can let it air dry.

Stamps: Michael Strong, Verses Rubber Stamps

Distress inks: twisted citron, wilted violet, fossilized amber, ripe persimmon

SU ink: wild wasabi

Stampfest with a friend

Last week on January 20th I had a wonderful day stamping with my friend, Lynette. Here are the results of our "Stampfest". As you can see, Easel Cards are still on our minds. We explored some Valentine ideas. Also, we experimented  "resist" images on kraft paper with Distress Embossing Ink and clear embossing powder.

Some of the materials we used:
Stamps: Hero Arts, Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous, Stampin' Up!
Inks: Ranger Distress inks, Stampin' Up!
and my new fav. punch, EK success Medallion chain large edger punch.
