Winter Tags & Grinch Quilt

Sharing some Winter fun.

PEACE ON EARTH - the theme from the 2011 Winter tag swap from Creative Stamping Friends a yahoo group.

A Grinch Quilt that I sewed for a friend.
A sewing store, Material Girl in Crystal Lake, IL had instructions and prepared all the fabric needed in a custom kit. I made 2 of these for my friend's 2 daughters. It was fun to see this come together. I learned some techniques along the way, thanks to two dear friends who became my mentors!!! I also borrowed a quilting book, special bent quilt pins, and other supplies! Thanks my dear friends!!!

Close up of the binding. The instructions were to use various fabrics for the binding. I was pleased to learn how to do a quick and easy binding!
Close up view of the printed panel fabric for the Grinch Quilt. The design/instructions were included in the kit prepared by the store, Material Girl in Crystal Lake, IL.
