Valentines 2023

Thanks to Lynette for helping me get started on my Valentines two weeks ago. She gave me this pretty collage Valentine printed paper. I added a few embellishments. Was glad my white Gelly Roll pen still worked. Sometimes they dry up quickly. The red and pink die cut hearts were in my stash.

Made this card with Valentine scraps. The "14" is stamped with an old mini Valentine set of 4 stamps by Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous that I bought at Archiver's a long time ago.

Here are kids Valentines I made for my grandkids and some special friends.
Inspiration for the dog Valentines are from Andreja of Easy Peasy and Fun.
Inspiration for the cat valentines are from Michelle of Crafty Morning.

Cascading Card

I learned about the Cascading Card from Carla and Hetty over at the Yahoo Group, Enjoy Michael Strong Stamps.

Above, you see the card open. Below it is closed (kind of). It does flatten so you can place it in an envelope.

There are many CASCADING CARD tutorials online.  Jan Farring's tutorial shows an efficient way to proceed. Dr. Sonia's tutorial has a nice photo showing exactly where the cuts are to be made. Chris at Calla Lily Studio has a nice video tutorial and so does Frenchie. I have lots of double sided paper and hope to make more cascading cards!

Stamps: Michael Strong's Mini Cloisonne Pets and Mini Cloisonne Wings (butterfly) I love Mike's stamps!! The rubber makes great impressions and works well with distress inks.
Sentiment: Stampin' Up!
Distress inks: rusty hinge for cat, frayed burlap for dog and shabby shutters for butterfly, walnut for sentiment
Clear Embossing powder. I just love how the distress inks can be embossed!

Here is my No Waste Criss Cross card, a "quick and easy" and "interactive" card. The dog stamp is from Michael Strong's Mini Cloissone Pets set.
