Script Beautiful Friendship

Here are three cards I made for September's anniversaries. My inspiration came from Ingrid L's floral card that I saw on Pinterest. I really liked the way she used her script stamp with the flowers.

Now for a closer look...

The card base is cream cardstock with a laid finish from my stash.

Stamps: Stampin' Up!'s Beautiful Friendship and Botanicals (script); Hero Arts Ribbon Message Stamp & Cut (sentiment stamped and die cut)

Inks: Stampin' Up! Going Grey, Pretty in Pink, Rose Romance, Certainly Celery on the first 2 cards. Switched to Wild Wasabi on the third card.

Thanks so much for visiting! Hope you are having some happy moments this week! Stay safe from Covid!

Stamp Then Emboss

In preparation for making some September birthday cards, I found wonderful inspiration from Frenchie at her blog post:  Beautiful Friendship, Stamp, Emboss without Layers.

CASEing Frenchie's card, I stamped the hydrangea and leaves from Stampin' UP!'s Beautiful Friendship set. If you have been following me, you know how much I love this set, a gift from my friend, Mona! Thanks again!!!

After stamping, I had trouble running the card front through my Cuttlebug. I was using a Spellbinders embossing folder called, Flowers and Leaves. I think this embossing folder is a little thicker than other brands. It would not go through my Cuttlebug with two B plates, the usual formula. However, I was able to run it through with just one C plate and the base! Glad it worked....well sort of...the impression is not too deeply formed... But I think I can send it out! I used a creamy card stock from my stash-brand unknown. It has a laid finish.

Inks: Stampin' Up!  Lavender Lace and Wild Wasabi

For my second card, I just used a separate layer, 4 x 5 inches of Georgia Pacific 110 pound card stock. Stamped the Fiskars butterfly (Many Thanks set), the tulips from Stampin' UP!'s Spring Garden and the sentiment from SU's Simple Sketches. Attached to a card base of the same cardstock.

Inks:
Stampin' Up-Lavender Lace, Wild Wasabi and Rose Romance
Distress: Black Soot

Used a Faber Castell black PITT pen to draw the squiggle border

Anniversary Beautiful Friendship Cards

I continue to enjoy making cards with the Stampin' Up! Beautiful Friendship set that my friend gave me. Here are two anniversary cards.

On the second card I fussy cut the roses and attached with dimensional foam. The banner is made with the Hero Arts' DC184 Ribbon Messages Stamp & Cut set.  This Hero Arts die cuts perfectly every time, unlike some other brands of dies. I avoid the dies where the paper sticks inside and you need to poke the pieces out with a pin.

INKS:
Distress - wilted violet, scattered straw, dried marigold
Stampin' Up! - almost amethyst, certainly celery, pretty in pink, rose romance

STAMPS:
Stampin' Up!, Stampablities, Hero Arts

More Beautiful Friendship

I continue to enjoy making cards with Stampin' Up!'s Beautiful Friendship set. I send out lots of birthday and anniversary cards, especially in July and August. I hope to get ahead of the game and get cards out on time...we'll see.

I stamped the 2 rose stamps with so saffron ink on a separate piece of card stock from my stash. Then fussy cut it and sponged the edges. The paper has a laid finish and it is a creamy white color. It is the same paper as the card base.
The hydrangeas are stamped in almost amethyst. The rose buds in pink pirouette and the leaves in certainly celery.
The sentiment, from Hero Arts Everyday sayings, CL342 is stamped in Distress black soot.

My inspiration for the orange and green card is from Cindy at Cindy's Corner
Maybe I got carried away with the extra stamping that I added?  Stamped the roses in Stampin' Up!'s peekaboo peach, the leaves in certainly celery and wild wasabi. Sentiment stamped in wild wasabi. I have 2 inkpads of wild wasabi and noticed one is lighter than the other...maybe needs re-inking?

Used  green cardstock from my stash. Was glad that 2 oval punches worked for the layering of the sentiment part. Added dimensional foam under the green to attach to card. I kept this card simple...was in a hurry to get it mailed. Maybe next time I'll try adding pearls or sequins and a bow! I really like how Cindy's card looked.

Beautiful Friendship Cards

My friend, Mona, gave me the Stampin' Up! set called Beautiful Friendship. I complimented her on a card she sent me and before I knew it, that set was in my mailbox!

I pulled out my little "wooden peg bow maker" for the small bows. Thank you Hetty-for giving that to me!

These cards were inspired by Julianne Richards card.

Inks: Stampin' Up! almost amethyst, Distress mowed lawn

Stamps: Stampin' Up!, Hero Arts, Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous-cling "saying stuff", DeNami Design
