Sponge Dab Background

I made my own background using the same ink colors to stamp the main layer which are:
Stampin' Up! hello honey, wild wasabi and distress crushed olive. I dabbed them on with an oval sponge from my stash.
Here is a photo to give you an idea of how I added color with the sponge.

For the front of the card I used Gina K's Sketched Flowers. In addition to the inks for the background, I also used distress brushed corduroy for the center of the flower and Versafine onyx black for the sentiment. I stamped off on the wild wasabi to get the softer green leaf vines.

Used my "Sponge Dab" technique for this new home, torn pocket card for our new neighbors. I include 2 inserts, tucked into the pockets: one with my information and one for our neighbor to complete and share if desired. More details on my other torn pocket cards here and here. They are very fun to make!

Inks: distress mustard seed, spiced marmalade, twisted citron, mowed lawn; Marvy #1 black

Stamps: Stampin' Up! Good Neighbors, Hero Arts H2945 Happy, Happy, Happy and ledger stamp. The addresses and info have been blurred.

Wreath Cards with the Original Gina K Wreath Builder

Here are five wreath cards I made using Gina K's original wreath builder templates. You can use either a 4 inch square or a 3-3/4 inch square of cardstock to make these wreaths. I used a 3-3/4 inch square for the cards with the black framing layer. For the cards without black, I used a 4 inch square of cardstock.

I was inspired by Gina K's  recent Stamp & Chat Live Replays:

Watercolor Beach Scene Cards

Instead of using a blending brush and ink to make beach backgrounds, I used watercolor paints and also watercolor pencils (bottom right). I was inspired by Lindsay Weirich's YouTube Painting VS Stamping Card Making Showdown. I am not an artist; just having fun.  Below are the finished cards.

Supplies:
Jane Davenport watercolors, Stampin' Up! watercolor pencils, Versamark Watermark inkpad, VersaMarker Watermark pen,  Stampendous Stampin Stuff white opaque embossing powder,

Hero Arts CM317 Color Layering Sea & Sky, CM316 Color Layering Waves, CL342 Everyday Sayings,

Inks:
distress-abandoned coral, tea dye, walnut
Stampin' UP! going grey, tempting turquoise, summer starfruit, hello honey, delightful Dijon
Versafine onxy black

Thanks for tuning in! Peace and all good!

Beach Wave Birthday Card

Made this card about a week ago, using Theresa Momber's wonderful Sandy Beach Tutorial on YouTube. I was attracted to her idea of adding wave with white pigment ink!

I got a lot of this wrong, but it was fun and relaxing...you know that sentiment that says "stamping is cheaper than therapy"...

Using plain white cardstock, I masked the horizon and used blending brushes for the background:
Gina K sea glass for the sky, distress salty ocean for the water and Stampin' UP! creamy caramel for the sand, leaving some white where the water would meet the sand. I also added some light brown Tombow marker, #977 for contrast and to dot the sand.

Once dry, I used a paintbrush dipped into a Gina K white pigment ink pad to brush on areas in the water that would look like waves and areas where the water meets the sand. Theresa Momber does a great job explaining how to do this in her YouTube.

Stamps:
Hero Arts Color Layering Sea & Sky CM317-
clouds stamped in VersaMark ink and embossed with white embossing powder
chairs stamped in distress abandoned coral and SU tempting turquoise and fussy cut

Fiskars happy birthday stamped in Versafine onxy black
