Island Wedding Card

Made this wedding card for a couple who were married in the US Virgin Islands a few weeks ago.
We will be going to a reception here on the mainland. We didn't attend the wedding.

My wrinkle free distress background, reminded me of the ocean.
So I dry embossed it with the Tide embossing folder to add some "waves".
I wrote the bride and groom's names in black marker on a scalloped heart
and stamped the sentiment on an oval layer.
Cut a strip of tulle and made a bow.

Here is the inside of the card

Stamps
PSX F2278
Hero Arts Clear Design Treasure the Moments

Inks:

Kraft Wedding Card

Made this wedding card for a very dear couple whose wedding was Nov. 19.
I chose kraft cardstock because the wedding invitation was on kraft paper!

For stamping I used my Just Rite monogram set and a PSX sentiment stamp.
For dry embossing I used Cuttlebug Heart Blocks and Textile embossing folders.

On the inside I used a favorite Hero Arts Clear design set called
Treasure The Moments-Cl156
Used a Fiscars border punch-Rope on each side.

Thanks for visiting!

Stampfest with Lynette on July 22, 2013

Here are the cards Lynette and I made on our July 22nd Stampfest:
Wedding card for our parents to give to Lynette's nephew who is getting married in September.

Card I'll be giving to Jason and Emily.

We were on a roll with the oval nesta! I am not sure if I will stamp "thanks" or something else in the center oval.

Used Lynette's All Dressed Up dies and One Of a Kind Designer Label stamp and punch. They worked perfectly together. Tami White from Stamp With Tami was our inspiration for this dress card.

How do you like this Pin-inspired card? It started with Lynette's admiring the beautiful colors of Patter Cross' afghan, who was inspired by a Vera Bradley Purse! You can see the inspiration at Triple the Scraps.

Floral card inspired by Pinterest, but the pin did not lead to a website! The large golden "flower" is punched out of the white, revealing the golden layer below.

Inspired by Tammy Tutterow's lovely card We used a boat image in place of the airplane.

Wedding Card & Tag

I continue to use old book pages as layers in my cards. Here's a wedding card I made for our neighbors:
Stamps:  Hero Arts ClearDesign-Treasure the Moments CL15, Stampers Anonymous Bitty Grunge CMS089
Ink: Distress pumice stone, Stampin' Up! Rose Romance
Used Gesso for the circles on the front
Cuttlebug Embossing folders: Allegro, D'Vine Swirl, Script
Fiskars scallop border punch
Zig Pigment Ink Pen: Rose
Used left over heart shapes from my stash.

And here is a tag I made for the May Challenge at the Enjoy Michael Strong Yahoo Group:
I cut cream cardstock  3-1/4 x 6-1/8 inches, trimming the top corners and adding a 1/4" hole in the top center. For my background I used direct to paper adding distress inks, Broken China, Shabby Shutters and a dab of Peeled Paint to my craft sheet. Spritzed that with a water. Before placing my tag onto the craft sheet, I drew some random lines on the tag with a hunk of beeswax-white crayon works too. This resists the ink. Smooshed the paper onto the craft sheet to apply the inks. Dried the tag with a heat tool. I made my own "reinforcement" for the tag with a 1/4" punch then a 1/2 in circle punch. I distressed a rectangle of an old book page. I stamped the cat in Rusty Hinge and the dog with Brushed Corduroy and clear embossed those. I wrote "My Best Friends" in black permanent marker on blue paper and layered that on cream that I distressed with blue ink.  Adhered ruffled eyelet to the bottom and cut a strip of blue lace for the top tie.
