Cards made with Stencil Spritz Layers

I made these cards using the two Stencil Spritz panels from the Aug. 23 Stampfest at Lynette's. You can find more info on our Stampfest is HERE. Both of  my panels had problems. I had a black smudge on this panel. Covered it with a die cut butterfly from Momenta.

To make this card I used parts of my second Stampfest Stencil Spritz panel. I did not get a clean impression when I stamped my panel with black ink. I was using Lynette's Tim Holtz platform. When I tried to re-stamp the image, my paper had shifted on the platform. So I just took the panel home with me. Later on, I decided to punch 2 hearts and cut a 1 rectangle for this card. The love text background layer was made with Stampin Up's Love by Definition background stamp (from 2003). To that I added burlap and a bow made from ribbon.

Stampfest at Lynette's, August 23, 2022

Lynette and I spent the day together yesterday to visit and do a little stamping! We were inspired by this pretty card on Instagram by cutcolorandcreate. We did not have the beautiful Gina K Zinnia stencil, so we ended up changing the style quite a bit.  We always seem to start out with a sample card as a source of ideas.

I messed up with the green leaves. Lynette did a much better job of placing the green leaved AND not getting green splotches where they should not be!

We used Gina K's flower stencil from Gina's A little love kit, blending brushes and Gina K inkpads:
wild dandelion, bubblegum pink, sweet mango, ocean mist and key lime; jelly bean green for the leaves. We trimmed the panel to 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 inches.

Sentiments:
Happy Birthday from GK Stippled Flowers set
OH HAPPY DAY! from GK Flower Builders

We tried out Gina K's Stencil Spritz Technique found on YouTube. We used Gina's Water Droplets stencil with Turquoise Sea and Key Lime inks. Lynette's result was better--as you can see on her panels, the top two. We used Lynette's Tim Holtz Stamping platform. I messed up on both of mine!

More Fluttering Fall Butterfly Cards

Variations on a theme, butterfly and flower cards... Enjoying my Gina K Fluttering Fall Layering Stencil Bundle along with some other stencils and embossing folders for backgrounds.

NOTE: I started blogging these card in spring 2022. I am going to post these late...to remind me of the fun I had with Gina K's wonderful stamps and stencils!

The two backgrounds above were made with stencils, ink and blending brushes.

I enjoy making backgrounds with the Embossing Folder Stamping technique. I dabbed the inkpad directly onto the raised side of the embossing folder, then spritzed with water. Placed a piece of white cardstock on it, closed the embossing folder and pressed down on it with my hands. I sometimes use a brayer to press down.

Drawstring Bag Sewing with Grace

My sister Grace came over yesterday with some orange fabric. She wanted some cloth bags for her fancy kites and also for her 3D printed NAF-style flute. She took some photos of the process. I should have asked my husband to take a photo of the two of us!

We had fun playing with my new Juki F-600 sewing machine's alphabet and numbers.  We encountered a problem with the period/decimal point on the flute bag. When we added that character, it automatically added a space afterward. We could not figure out how to get 48.5 cm. So we chose to add a dot which was centered higher that a period would be. Anyone out there with a Juki F-600 who can show me how to add decimal point?

We always have a great time when we're together!
