March 12 Stampfest With Lynette

Lynette and I spent the day stamping yesterday. Below are photos of our cards.

The cards above were inspired by the Clearwater Convention and Pinterest.

These cards are our rendition of the Archiver's 2013 Easter Kit with 4 Tim Holtz Mini Blueprints: nest, egg, bunny and butterfly. 6 x 6 Paper: The Sweetest Thing-Lavender by My Mind's Eye.

Sewing: Baby Set & Table Runner

Made this baby outfit for our niece's baby, Caitlyn, who was born Feb. 6, 2013. I used an old Stretch & Sew pattern for the top. The pants were made with a wonderful free pattern found at Amber Dusick's site, Make Baby Stuff.com It was refreshing to find this pants pattern which seems to be correctly sized 0 to 3 months. I don't know why commercial patterns are always sized too large!

Materials used: Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder, Nestabilities oval dies, Stampin' Up! stamp and ink.

Step Card for Chinese New Year, 2013

My friend, Hetty, from CraftChaos inspired me to make a Chinese New Year card using Michael Strong's free digital download. I followed Hetty's instructions saving the digital download to my computer, then printed it on my home printer.

The purple cardstock base is 5-1/2 x 12 inches, and scored at 2, 4 and 8 inches. I used colored pencils to color the image. The Chinese characters are from Mike's blog. Printed them and the English text, Matisse font with my printer on card stock.
