Dry Embossing & Sanding

Finally made a card with a layer of Core'dinations paper that was embossed and sanded with sandpaper.
I made this quick card for my friend, Joanie. We took a walk Friday and I commented on some pretty red bee balm blossoms. Later in the day, she brought me a bee balm plant with a vibrant red blossoms!

The "thank you" was stamped with my brand new Hero Arts set: Everyday Sayings CL34. Michaels had stamps on sale for 44% off, plus I had a coupon for 15% off everything, including sale items. I couldn't resist!

I wrote Joanie's name with my permanent Zig marker pen. The "thank you" was stamped with frayed burlap.
I made the flower with my scallop punches, crushing them and adding distress inks, antique linen and broken china, to the edges. An eyelet secured the petals together.

oh yes I remember that technique; lots of fun to do and very effective. Your friend will enjoy opening your card Laura - all the best
