April 13 Stampfest with Lynette

On April 13 Lynette and I spent the day stamping at my house.
Lynette brought some cards she made recently.
I am so glad she was willing to make these cards again with me!
We always have a great time together...making cards, visiting and just hangin' out!

Stamps: Stampin' Up's Tropical Blossoms, Hero Arts, Inkadinkado and Judith stamps.
InksDistress fossilized amber, abandoned coral
SU summer sun, certainly celery
Versafine black onyx
Markers for outlines on some of the images
Washi tape from Lynette's stash

We used a kind of embossing folder stamping by adding faded jeans ink
directly onto the raised part of the Sizzix Tim Holtz Wood planks embossing folder.
Spritzed the ink with water. Placed blue cardstock paper inside and ran it through the cuttlebug.
Dried the wet paper with heat tool.
Then we enhanced the details with the distress faded jeans marker.
We colored the SU Serene Silhouettes stamp with faded jeans and forest moss markers.
Huffed before stamping. Our card base is gray with a fiber look.

For this card, we searched through many stamp sets to find the perfect "flowers", using stamps from
Hero Arts-Clear design thinking of you
Stampin' Up!-Fresh cuts and sentiment
Fiskars Heidi Grace Cherrywood Ln.
Stamps by Judith-AA-08 Solid flower (stick stamp)
Used Tombo Markers-green 158, yellow 055, purple 636

What to call this type of card...rectangles or tile card or ?
Lynette was inspired by Michelle Gleeson's Flowering Fields Birthday Wishes card
on her Stampin' Mojo blog.
Thank you, Michelle for sharing the dimensions of the pieces!!!
That saved us gobs of time!!!
white card: 4-1/2 x 5-1/2"
kraft layer: 3-7/8 x 5-1/8"
9 rectangles in white: 1-1/8 x 1-3/8"

Here is a "Z-fold" card using SU's Serene Silhouettes.
So glad Lynette brought that stamp set! Just love it!
Used Tombow markers red 847 and green 158 to apply color directly to the stamp.
Stamped a 2nd time without adding more color for the inside.

Thanks so much for visiting!
