Birthday Cards

In addition to August being a big Anniversary month, it's also a BIG BIRTHDAY month! Three of the four cards shown here are quick and easy!

This is the second card I've made that was inspired by Connie Babbert's Venetian Elegance Butterflies. I just love her yellow and blue color combo and her layout. My card is the LH quick and easy version. Don't you just love being inspired by something someone else has created? I find it a great way to get started!  Thanks, Connie for the inspiration!
Distress Inks: scattered straw, broken china
Versafine Onxy Black ink; Stampin' Up HB stamp
Cuttlebug Textile emb. folder & EK Success Medallion punch.

Another rendition of  my quick and easy, inspired by Connie's card!!!
Tried to make the inside festive and fun with some favorite word stamps...
Hero Arts:  Celebrate and Family
Stampin' Up: delight
DeNami Design: Belated Birthday-I use this stamp A LOT!

Love my new Sizzix Woodgrain embossing folder. Here is a belated birthday card for a guy. Pretty simple, I know! But I think he'll enjoy it because he's a gardener.
Stamps: Stampin' Up! Lovely as a tree set.
Stampendous: Happy Birthday

This card is for Don's good friend, Joe, who loves Hawaii as much as we do. Lynette gave me the palm die cuts and let me use her circles embossing folder. Used a stamp that I bought in Kahului, Maui in 2005.  It says @RSP Honolulu, HI on the wood.
Distress inks: salty ocean, mowed lawn, scattered straw, dried marigold, frayed burlap, vintage photo
 and Versafine Onxy Black ink.

such variety in your cards Laura; I can see this has become your passion. Very, very pretty, each one.
